The Governors are a group of caring people who share an interest in all aspects of school life.
They are the strategic leaders of our school and have a vital role to play in making sure every child gets the best possible education.

The governing body has a strong focus on three core strategic functions

a. Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
b. Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff; and
c. Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

The governing body is drawn from different parts of the community, including:

  • parents
  • staff
  • the community
  • the Church

This helps to ensure that the governing body has sufficient diversity of views and experience. The role of a governor is a rewarding one, and if you feel it is something in which you would be interested, please contact our Headteacher.

All governors are contactable via school, many being in the playground daily should you wish to talk in confidence about anything that you would like to bring to our attention.
