Christianity Around The World
4th May 2017
Every child in school learned all about Christianity in three different countries as part of our exciting Christianity Around the World Day. Learning about the Anglican Church in Kenya, Australia and India, the children found out about the different cultures and traditions in each country as well as what Christian worship looks like.
In the Indian workshop the children had the opportunity to dress in saris and perform bhangra dances. Learning about Kenya the children found out about The Most Rev. Jackson Ole Sapit,
Archbishop, Anglican Church of Kenya, played African drums and built their own models of churches. The children in the Australia workshop learned about the major geographical features of Australia including the Sydney Opera House and Great Barrier Reef. They also gained a good understanding of how important Christianity is to many Australians.
